Why Buy From a Mill
The Manufacturer
Difference
When you buy from BABJEEXPORTS, you're buying from the people who actually mill the rice — not someone who bought it from them.
We Own the Mill
Our processing facility is in Karnal, Haryana — the heart of India's Basmati belt. We don't buy from a trader and resell. We mill, test, and pack every shipment ourselves.
Lab Tested Every Batch
Moisture, grain length, broken percentage, whiteness, and EU pesticide MRL — tested in our on-site lab before packing is authorised. Full test reports shared with every shipment.
Direct Mill Pricing
No trader's margin on top. Our FOB prices reflect the actual cost of milling, testing, and packing. Transparent, live, and updated on our prices page.
Complete Export Stack
Phytosanitary, Certificate of Origin, commercial invoice, packing list — we handle it all. One contact, one supplier, full accountability from paddy to port.
Who We Are
Direct Mill.
No Middlemen.
BABJEEXPORTS is a direct-to-buyer Basmati rice manufacturer and exporter based in Karnal, Haryana — the heart of India's premium Basmati-growing belt. We operate our own rice processing facility where paddy is received, milled, tested, and packed under a single roof. There are no traders, no undisclosed margins — just direct mill pricing for importers worldwide.
We source exclusively from pesticide-free contract farmers within a 150km radius of our Karnal facility. Farmers follow Good Agricultural Practices, and every paddy lot is tested for pesticide residue before it enters our processing line. The result is Basmati rice that consistently passes EU Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) checks — critical for importers supplying European retail chains, food service operators, and wholesale distributors.
Our BRC-certified processing facility allows us to supply a range of Basmati varieties — 1121, 1509, 1401, 1718, Sharbati, and PR-11 — in Steam, Sella, and Golden Sella forms. Packing is available from 1kg retail pouches to 50kg bulk bags, with private labelling and custom print options for brands and distributors.
British Retail Consortium food safety certification — mandatory for suppliers to European retail chains including Tesco, Sainsbury's, Aldi, and Lidl.
Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority registration — required for all Indian rice exports. Enables direct documentation with Indian customs.
Food Safety and Standards Authority of India licence — India's primary domestic food safety standard, covering manufacturing, processing, and packing operations.
Food safety management system standard covering the full supply chain — from raw material sourcing to final packaged product. Audited annually by an independent certification body.

Understanding the Range
Basmati Rice Varieties & Types
Basmati rice is not a single product — it is a family of varieties and processing methods, each suited to different markets and cooking styles. Knowing the difference helps buyers source accurately at scale.
1121 Basmati
India's most exported premium variety. Exceptional grain length (7.8mm raw, 14–18mm cooked) — the global benchmark for quality Basmati. Available in Steam, Sella, and Golden Sella. First choice for European retail and Middle Eastern foodservice.
1509 Basmati
Slightly shorter grain than 1121 at a competitive price point. Popular in Middle East and South Asian diaspora markets. Matures earlier in the season, ensuring wider availability through the year. Available in Steam, Sella, and Golden Sella.
Sharbati Basmati
Also known as Sugandha Basmati — a mid-range variety with a softer, aromatic grain. Widely used in value Basmati blends, Indian domestic foodservice, and budget retail lines. Excellent aroma-to-cost ratio for price-sensitive markets.
PR-11 Basmati
A non-premium Basmati variety suited to buyers who need the Basmati fragrance at an economy price point. Popular in retail price-sensitive markets and large-scale institutional catering. Available as Steam and Sella.
All varieties are available in Steam (white, non-parboiled), Sella (parboiled, cream-coloured), and Golden Sella (parboiled, golden-hued) processing forms. View full product range →
