About 1121 Golden Sella Basmati Rice
Golden Sella is produced through a higher-pressure parboiling process than standard Sella. The paddy is soaked longer and steamed at greater pressure — causing deeper starch gelatinisation and the characteristic golden pigmentation from the bran layer migrating into the grain. The result is a rice that is firmer than standard Sella, has a more pronounced amber colour, and an almost translucent golden appearance when dry.
The golden colour is highly valued across the Gulf region — Oman, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Kuwait buyers consistently specify Golden Sella over other forms.
